The "Charlie St. Cloud" star insists Vanessa Hudgens was "fine" about his recent night out to see exotic dancers at New York nightspot Flashdancers Gentlemen's Club with two pals - including "High School Musical" co-star Corbin Bleu - though he admitted he felt awkward about telling her his plans.
He said: "The hardest part was calling my girlfriend beforehand. How do you start that conversation without feeling like a total a*shole? It was hard. She was fine with it."
Zac laughed off reports he had spent $2,000 in the club and claims the visit wasn't as glamorous as he had imagined it would be.
