The former Ugly Betty star is pregnant with her first child — and it’s causing some changes in character on her new show, Love Bites.
“She plays a virgin [in the pilot episode], so we have to make adjustments to that,” Vernon Sanders, NBC’s executive VP-current programming, told People magazine.
The show has been pushed back to midseason to allow for Becki’s pregnancy, as well as to resolve casting issues and find a new executive producer.
This will be the first child for Newton, 31, and husband Chris Diamantopoulos, whom she wed in May 2005.
